The site lies within Siirt province; close to Konakpinar (previously Ayinkasir) village on the west. This shallow mound is discovered during the 1963 survey conducted by the University of Istanbul and Chicago Oriental Institute. The earliest settlement period dates back to Halaf-Ubaid Transition Period. |
