It lies on the western bank of the Çatak Stream and southwestern bank of Deretarla Stream; west of Molla Quarter; in the Erikbeli Quarter of Karamukmolla Village; north of Kastamonu Province. It measures 8-9 m in height and 100 m in diameter. It was discovered by C.A. Burney in 1955; and investigated by Donceel-Voute in 1977 and during the Kastamonu Survey conducted by A. Özdogan; C. Marro and A. Tibet in 1997. Materials collected belong to the EBA I/III; MBA; LBA and the Iron Age. The mound is located on a plateau where one branch of the Daday Stream spills between the basin of the Daday Stream and the eastern basin of the Araç/Ilgaz Stream.
