Location: This site is southwest of the city of Zonguldak; in the Iliksu Valley. The exact location in the valley is not specified. Further research needs to be conducted in this area.
Geography and Environment: The mountains in this region which are as high as 1;000 m are cut by deep valleys giving the region a varied topography. Wide stream beds have been carved into the plains.
History:
Research and Excavation: The site was discovered by Faruk Ertunç; an architect; who conducted research in this area. This unpublished site has been included in this volume because it is an important discovery from a region that has not yet been surveyed.
Stratigraphy:
Small Finds: Ertunç reports that he found a 7 cm long handaxe with flaked edges which have been abraded by natural agents. Because the find has not been published it is difficult to assign the site to a period.
