The mound is located 9 km northeast of Kurtalan district of the city of Siirt; on the highway to Diyarbakir; on the west bank of Basur stream. The site was discovered during the joint Southeastern Anatolia Survey Project conducted by Chicago University and the University of Istanbul in 1963. Only Uruk and Gawra Period sherds were collected from the pebble covered surface of the mound. It is not for sure whether Adsiz is a mound or not. The abundance of the surface finds is striking. The location code is R 64 / 1. |
