It is located 24 km northeast of the district of Kaman in the province of Kirsehir. The mound measures about 10 m in height and 150 m in diameter. The southern section was dug by a construction machine into a depth of 2 m. It was discovered in 1986 during the Survey of Kirsehir Province conducted by S. Omura. According to the surface finds it is suggested that the settlement was inhabited during the second and first millennia BC. The EBA finds consist of a fruit-stand sherd with red and black slip; nail impressed sherds; a hardly fired cup; a black and red painted vessel; and a sherd of Alisar III type. |
