It is located 40 km west o the district of Akçakent in the province of Kirsehir. The mound lies on a natural hill and measures 315 m in length; 170 m in width; and 30 m in height. It was discovered in 1987 during the Survey of Kirsehir Province conducted by S. Omura. At the high point of the settlement were found monochrome painted and nail impressed EBA sherds. It is reported that some of these finds are similar to the sherds named as "intermediate" by H.H. von der Osten. The mound has also yielded second millennium BC materials. It takes place in the registered archaeological sites list prepared by Ministry of Culture and Tourism. |
