It lies on a natural ridge facing the stream in Kanak Su Valley in the vicinity of Çorum Province. It was visited by R.L. Gorny during Alisar Region Survey Project in 1998. It is reported that the researches at the site have been delayed because of the priority of the areas going to be damaged by the Gelingüllü Dam reservoir [Gorny et al. 159]. There is found one chaff tempered Chalcolithic sherd and one EBA II (?) sherd at the mound yet. The mound is multi layered and located on a slope in a wide valley as the other sites in the neighborhood. There are also finds of Second Millennium BC; Iron Age (Phrygian; Galatian); Hellenistic and Roman Period collected. |
