It lies east of Surik Stream; 320 m southwest of Nervan Tepe; south of Silopi District of Sirnak. It is a 4 m high mound measuring 100 m in east-west direction and 220 m in north-south direction. Western part of the mound rises steeply. Potsherds dated to Halaf and Ubaid periods collected from the surface by a team conducted by G. Kozbe in 2004. The ornament pattern of the collected material represents the characteristic Halaf motifs likewise the ones which are known from the important Halaf settlements as Tell Halaf and Arpachiah. |
