It is located at the city center of the Silopi District in Sirnak. It is approximately 10 m high inside a resting park, which is named as Atatürk Park. It was visited by G. Kozbe et al. during a survey in 2004, several potsherds, fragments of obsidian and a woman figurine were collected from the surface. There are architectural remains on the southeastern section of the mound. The collected materials are dated to the Halaf, Ubaid, Early Chalcolithic, Nineve V, Early and Late Assyrian Periods. It was revisited and surveyed by G. Kozbe et al. in 2006, and new material were collected from the surface [Kozbe 2008:179]. |
