It is located in a private ownership area located between the villages of Agacik and Yunuslar; in the district of Burhaniye; province of Balikesir. The settlement; lies about 1 km inside the road between Agacik and Yunuslar and to the north-northeast of the road; on the northern and southern slopes of the valley formed by a water source and Karinca stream. During the survey conducted by E. Beksaç in 2002 were found plenty of pithos sherds; fragments of floor and roof tiles; pieces of tomb bricks and grinding stones. The pihoi sherds found on the slopes to the south of the river probably belong to an earlier date and they match with the small number of EBA finds and burnished and carinated LBA material. |
