It is located in Çakir Mevkii; 30 m south of Tersakan stream; 2.5 km north of the village of Baslamis; northeast of the district of Ladik; province of Samsun. It was discovered in 2002 during the survey of M. Özsait and named after the locality it is in. The mound lies to the west of Asagi Dere that flows from the village and 150 m northeast of Asagi Degirmen. It measures 120 m in diameter. Pottery sherds belonging to the EBA; Iron Age; Hellenistic and Roman periods were collected. |
