It is located about 14.5 km southeast of Harran; south-southeast of Sanliurfa. It measures 250 m in the north-south and 150 m in east-west direction. It is about 6 m high above the plain level. The mound is surrounded by the modern village settlement. It was investigated by N. Yardimci during the survey of Harran plain. The Chalcolithic assemblage consists of Halaf and Obeid pottery. EBA; 1st millennium BC; Roman and Medieval-Islamic period sherds were also collected. |
