It is located 8.5 km northeast of Harran; south-southeast of Sanliurfa. It measures 250 m in diameter and 11 m in height. It is also known as Yünlüce or Tel Ganem. The site was investigated by N. Yardimci during the survey of Harran Plain. The EBA is represented by the fine wares with a sandy biscuit and metallic wares. Sherds belonging to the Chalcolithic; 1st millennium BC; Roman; Medieval-Islamic periods were also encountered. It takes place in the registered archaeological sites list prepared by Ministry of Culture and Tourism. |
