It is located 23.5 km northwest of Harran; 6.5 km northeast of Sanliurfa-Akçakale motorway. It is a circular mound measuring 210 m in diameter and rising about 13 m above the plain level. It was visited by N. Yardimci during the survey of Harran Plain. The Chalcolithic finds consist of Halafian and Obeid painted pottery; straw tempered wares and sandy burnished wares. Sherds belonging to the EBA were also collected from the surface. |
