It lies on a natural hill in Asarındere Mevkii; about 2 km northeast of Özdenk Village; north of Alpu District of Eskisehir Province. It is approximately 12 m in height and 70 m in diameter. It was investigated by T. Sivas and H. Sivas during 2003 survey and plenty of EBA potsherds and a headless woman figurine were found. The cemetery 500 m northwest of the mound is probably related to the mound. Most of the rectangular stone graves are damaged due to illicit diggings and no finds can be recovered in them. The EBA materials around the graves are suggested to be the evidence of the relationship between the mound and the cemetery. |
