It is located 10.5 km north of the district of Harran; south-southeast of the district of Sanliurfa. The mound; measuring 9 m in height; has been damaged due to agricultural activities and contemporary settlements. It is also known as Tel Mihriz. It was discovered by N. Yardimci during the survey of Harran Plain. The EBA finds consist of buff wares mottled with brown and black; burnished on interior and exterior; fine metallic wares; and decorations in painted bands; and reserved slip ornament. It takes place in the registered archaeological sites list prepared by Ministry of Culture and Tourism. |
