It lies east of Alapinar Village; 12 km southeast of Kozan District of Adana. It is 4 km west of Kozan-Kadirli-Ceyhan motorway and 150 m east of Alapinar Stream. It is an oval mound with 100x300 m dimensions and 30 m in height. The site was investigated during the survey conducted by K.S. Girginer in 2004 and potsherds of Chalcolithic; EBA; 2nd millennium BC and later periods were found. Besides these there were also baked clay loom weights and spindle whorls; stone weights; baked clay amulets and obsidians collected [Girginer et al. 2006:299]. |
