It lies around 14.5 km southeast of Harran. It has a floor width of 250 m in the north-south direction, and 150 m in the east-west direction, and it stretches northtoward with a slight inclination. With an average height of 6 m, it has been surrounded by a modern village, and the new constructions almost reach to the hilltop of the mound, which has a flat form. The following periods were identified: - Chalcolithic Age (Halaf, Ubaid) - Early Bronze Age (plain ware, body fragments) - 1st Millennium BC (painted, plain ware) - Roman Period (pink, sandy coarse ware) - Medieval-Islamic Period (plain ware with green-beige paste) [Yardimci 2004:74-75]. |
