It lies 2 km south of the Sanliurfa-Mardin motorway, 31 km north of Harran. It is 10-12 m high, however no measurement was obtained as it has been obscured by the new settlement. The following periods were identified: - Early Bronze Age (metalic fine ware, hard burnished ware with pink paste) - 1st Millennium BC (ware with red paste and uneven surface) - Roman Period (fine red paint slipped, Terra Sigilata -like ware) - Medieval-Islamic Period (plain ware with beige sandy paste, fine incised ware, green glazed ware) [Yardimci 2004:558-559]. |
