It lies 16.5 km southeast of Harran. It is ca. 12 m high above the plain level, and 385 m high above the sea level. With a truncated conic form, it measures 28.614 squaremeters in area, and 146.596 cubicmeters in volume. It is also called Hora. According to the surface finds, it was inhabited during the following periods: - Chalcolithic Age (groove decorated kiln fragment) - Early Bronze Age - Late Bronze Age - Iron Age - Classical Ages (terra sigillata body fragment) - Middle Age [Yardimci 2001a:46]. |
