It is located 2 km south of the Kamisli Village, immediate south of the Kiziltahta Village, approximately 30-31 km southeast of the provincial center of Adana. It is a small mound with a height of 3 m. It is proposed that a part of the straw-tempered sherds collected during the Cilician Survey under the direction of M.V. Seton-Williams in 1951can be dated to the Chalcolithic Age. Also found are sherds from the Iron Age, Hellenistic and Roman Periods [Seton-Williams 1954:130-154]. |
