It is situated in the Ayngerm Village, 12.5 km east-southeast of Kurtalan, 39.5 km east of Siirt. 1.8 km to the north runs the Batman-Kurtalan motorway. With a height of 8 m, it is 25 m long in north-south direction, and 100 m long in east-west direction. There is a modern settlement on the hilltop, and a lake 500 m to the north. It contains probably the plain ware belonging to the first half of the 1st Millennium BC, and a similar group of red coated, burnished and wheelmade ware (particularly seen at Nemrut, Tell Halaf's Kabara level, Amique phase O, Syro-Hittite level at Hama and Palestinian Early Iron Age II). It is recorded under code no. S 63 / 6. |
