| The mound is located in the Adatepe village of Vezirköprü district in Samsun province. "Tepecik" mound was also researched during the survey performed by Rainer Czichon from Berlin University; and his team on the Oymaagaç Höyük and environs in August-September 2005 that revealed only EBA finds such as sherds; two stone axes; three large ; and one small weight; and a spindl whorl. Therefore; it was assumed that Adatepe-Tepecik played an important role in textile industry just as Ikiztepe did. (http://www.vezirkopru.gov.tr/sayfalar/tarihce_oymaagac.htm) |
