| It is located near the Karakaya Settlement; north of the Latmos Heracleia at the Kapikiri Village; northwest of the Selimiye Subdistrict of the Milas District of the Mugla Province. The survey conducted by Peschlow in 1995 yielded a tower; which is 320 m high; measuring 32x20 m. It doesn't have a full-rectangular shape as its back leans on a rock. The double sided walls are 75 m thick. Presence of potsherds and bricks from the Byzantine Period indicates occupation during that period [Peschlow 1997:143]. No dating is available about the remains. |
