The Konya-Karaman motorway runs 3 km east of the mound; which is located in the east of the Alibeyhöyügü Village of the Çumra District; south-southwest of the Konya Province. Included among the EBA settlements by J. Mellaart; the mound also yielded potsherds from the Hittite Imperial Period; the Iron Age; and the Hellenistic and Roman Periods. It is likely that the mound houses a settlement within the territorium of Iconion (see Iconion). |
