It is situated at Sagir Kom hamlet of Basbudak Village 60 km southeast of Tercan District in Erzincan Province. It is on a hill that rises just south of the hamlet. A valley extends just south of the fortress. This valley provides access to Yaylim Village. The height of the fortress from the hamlet surface is approximately 150 m. It was researched during the survey performed by A. Ceylan et al. in 2007. The fortress lies in north-south direction and is located east of Tuzla Brook. All of the fortress walls were demolished. The stones forming the walls are generally larger at the bottom and smaller at the top. There is no doubt that the fortress belongs to the early period. The region is the crossing of both the natural roads and the waterways. The natural road that passes on the east side of the fortress connects Tercan to Çat District of Erzurum. The fortress controls this road. The sherds collected from the fortress belong to Late Chalcolithic, Early Bronze and Iron Ages. Due to its strategical location it is obvious that it was used throughout the history [Ceylan et al. 2009:135].
