The site lies southwest of Sanliurfa; south of Birecik; 300 meters north of Akarçay village; on the opposite side of the valley. Potsherds; dating back to various periods; were collected from an area of 80x50 m. The site was discovered by G. Algaze. Among the finds; an Ubaid painted sherd and a Late Chalcolithic Age hammer-head rim bowls imply the existence of a Chalcolithic settlement. However; it is observed that the Chalcolithic Age settlement is locked by the above settlements. Besides the Chalcolithic material; The EBA 3 and MBA 1 sherds were found.
