It is situated at where one of the tributaries of the Ceyhan River is fordable next to the Adana-Kozan motorway, northeast of the provincial center of Adana. The mound is 7 m high, being partly truncated by the brook running by. The sherds collected from the surface in 1936, and preserved in the Museum of Adana were evaluated by the Cilicia survey team in 1951, resulting in dating of the sherds to the EBA, Iron Age and Byzantine Period [Seton-Williams 1954:157, findspot no. 66]. |
