It is 3-4 m high, measuring 75 m long in northeast-southwest direction, and 60 m long in northwest southeast direction. It is a deserted mound formed on a projecting terrace. 200 to the west runs the Garzan Stream. It contains probably the plain ware belonging to the first half of the 1st Millennium BC, and a similar group of red coated, burnished and wheelmade ware (particularly seen at Nemrut, Tell Halaf's Kabara level, Amique phase O, Syro-Hittite level at Hama and Palestinian Early Iron Age II). |
