It lies on a natural hill, which is 25 m high above the plain level between the Sarigazel Village and the Mesepinari Village, 12 km southwest of the Ladik District in Samsun. It was named after the village. It measures ca. 50x75 m in dimensions. Sherds belonging to the Late Chalcolithic, EBA II, Hittite Period, Early Iron, Middle Iron Age and Phrygian Period settlements were collected from the surface. All of them are qualified. |
