It is situated in the district center of Silopi and as a result of destructions, it is only 10 m high at present. Now it has been occupied by a tea garden and a public park named Atatürk Parki. It was discovered during the surveys conducted under the direction of G. Algaze between 1989-1990. The housing, public buildings, fountains and reservoirs, flower and tree plantations around it contribute to the destruction of the mound to a great extent. In addition to the sherds, obsidian fragments, fragment of an animal figurine and oil lamp were found. Some building elements are observed on the southeastern section of the mound. Based on the sherds and small finds, the main periods identified on the mound are; Halafian, Late Chalcolithic, Early Assyrian, Iron Age and Middle Age [Kozbe 2006b:298].
