It is situated on a steep hill controlling the Devrez Brook. It was discovered by R. Matthews et al. in 1997. It was founded on pink andesite rock. The area was used as a stone quarry until recently. The quarries that started their operations in the near past heavily destroyed the settlement, which exposed an intact miniature vessels and material called grey Phrygian pottery. Probably, this strategical point controlling the straits was inhabited in order to run the stone quarries. |
