| Abundant number of Late Assyrian finds were discovered during the surveys conducted in the Cizre-Silopi Plain. This is not that surprising considering that the region is situated only 60 km away from the Assyrian capital city of Nineveh. Kopik Tepe is a small Late Assyrian settlement [Algaze-Rosenberg 1991:137]. |
