Explanation: Two parts of Pinarbasi have been excavated: The open-air settlement and the rock shelter. The Open-air Site/Area A, has 9 identified periods, the first three of which are dated to the early Neolithic. The Rock Shelter/Area B, has seven stratigraphic periods. The top layers of the cultural deposit, largely destroyed by looters trenches, dates to the 5th and 4th millennia BC, while the lower deposit has Late Neolithic fill.
