| Explanation: According to ongoing excavations at Akarçay Tepe, the stratigraphy is as follows: 1- The ÔMixed Period', characterized by late Chalcolithic and Obeid pits, with no clear layering. 2- The first and second periods, with Ceramic Neolithic and Pre-Halaf Period 3- The third period, which is a transition from Aceramic Neolithic to Ceramic Neolithic. 4- The fourth period, which is late PPNB. 5- The fifth period, late PPNB 6- And finally the sixth period, which is the Middle-PPNB (?). 14C specimens for the seventh period have not been uncovered yet. Samples Beta-138584 and Beta-138585 are AMS dates. |
